현재 사용되는 discrete quantization method들은 대부분 VQ-VAE 구조를 따르고, 이런 구조는 determinisctic 한 decoder를 사용하기 때문에 latent space의 discrete 함이 최종적으로 생성되는 output space 에도 전이되게 된다. 이는 태생적으로 continuous space 에 lie 하는 modality 에게는 치명적으로 작용해 naturalness 를 해치는 결과를 만들어 낼 수도 있다.
